Memory clean app review5/19/2023 ![]() Most of us are unknown to the risk that sometimes accompanies such apps that interact with the CPU processes. It has become a common sight to see people tapping away at “Boost” or “Speed up” buttons and widgets on their phones to get rid of those irritating stutters and lags on phones. One such type of apps are the memory cleaning apps. ![]() And there are a number of services which market themselves as the tools you need for that nudging. The budget phone market now contains a lot of phones which, although perform brilliantly at their price point, often need a little bit of nudging and pushing to overcome certain limitations. I quickly watched as my memory usage plummeted to 3.22 GB available. I opened several memory intensive apps including Photoshop, iTunes, iPhoto, Illustrator, InDesign and Pages. I decided to really put the app to the test. To my surprise, Memory Clean freed up over a gig of memory. When I first installed the utility, I cleaned up the memory on my computer. When you use a program like Memory Clean, that lost memory is freed up for use again. When you close the program, that memory is still tied up. So, why go to the trouble clear up your system’s memory? Well, when you use a memory intensive app, like most video games, video editing software or graphic design tools, memory gets allocated to the cache of that program. Memory Clean is a free menu bar utility that shows your memory usage and then breaks down that usage into Active, Wired, Inactive, Free, Used and Total.
